Lost and Simba's photo session at home

16 November, 2021

For the majority of my equine photo sessions, I find that conducting the session at home or at the agistment property is much easier on both the horses and owners. There is no need to transport the horse anywhere, and horses are much more comfortable in a location they know well.

This was the case for Lost and Simba. Having a paddock or tie up close to where we were taking photos allowed us to switch horses often and capture a wide variety of individual images before we did a few images of both horses together.

Among all the rainy days, we managed to get a beautiful sunny afternoon, perfect for my signature backlit images. Both horses were a star, and the photo of them nose-to-nose is a new favoueite of mine.
