Why I feel it is still so important to print digital files

8 January, 2023

As a pet photographer, I can attest to the importance of capturing beautiful, high-quality photographs of our furry friends. Pet photography not only allows us to freeze a moment in time and remember our beloved animals for years to come, but it also helps us to show off the personalities and characteristics of our pets to the world.

But in today's digital age, it's easy to simply snap a quick photo on our phones and then forget about it, leaving it buried in our photo albums or lost in the vast expanse of the internet. That's why I believe it's important to not only take great photos of our pets, but to also print them out and display them in our homes.

For one, printing photos allows us to physically hold onto and appreciate the memories we've captured. There's something special about looking at a physical photograph and being able to hold it in your hands or admire it on the wall, rather than just scrolling through images on a screen. Plus, printing photos allows us to share them with others and create a tangible keepsake that we can pass down to future generations.

Additionally, printing photos allows us to display our pet's personalities and characteristics in a way that digital photos simply can't. By printing and displaying photos in our homes, we can create a visual narrative of our pets' lives and share their stories with anyone who enters our home. It's a way to truly honour and celebrate the animals that bring so much joy to our lives.

In short, pet photography is an important way to capture and remember the special bond we have with our pets, and printing those photos allows us to physically hold onto and share those memories for years to come.
