Bundy, Archie, Max and Cashie's photo session at home

As a photographer, I always love the opportunity to capture unique and beautiful images, and a photo session with a horse and owner, and three well-behaved dogs, was no exception. The sunny afternoon provided the perfect lighting for capturing the grace and beauty of Beyond Reasonable Doubt (aka Bundy), as well as the playful personalities of the dogs, Archie, Max, and Cashie.

We began the session with both posed and candid portraits of Bundy with his owner, Melissa. Melissa and Bundy are the winners of the very first Mackinnon Medal and will be featuring in an upcoming book about the Garryowen alongside my images which is very exciting! The McKinnon Medal is awarded to the placed rider in the Garryowen who is over 45 years of age.

We had a bit of a windy start to the session, but Bundy was more concerned with the horse noises coming from inside my phone. I swear by an iPhone app I spent all of $4 on that gets every horses attention without fail.

Next, we moved on to the dogs, and I was delighted to see that all three of them, Archie, Max, and Cashie, were eager to participate in the photo session. They were all such characters, and it was a joy to capture their unique personalities. Max, the Schnauzer, had a charming and inquisitive expression. Cashie, the black and white Border Collie, was so sweet and cuddly. And Archie, the chocolate Border Collie, was a bit reserved at first, but, once we started playing a bit of fetch, he was happy and smiling for the camera. 

We also incorporates a Christmas theme into the photo session, and the dogs looked adorable in their festive hair decorations from the groomer. It was a great opportunity to capture some fun, festive images of the dogs, and I think they turned out absolutely adorable, including a few group images too!

Overall, the photo session was a great success, and I was thrilled with the images that I captured and honoured to have been able to capture their beauty and personalities in my photographs.
